1st Faversham (Wheler's Own) Scout Group

The 1st Faversham (Wheler's Own) Scout Group is a large and active group with a Squirrel Drey, two Beaver Colonies, two Cub Packs and two Scout Troops. Founded by Sir Granville Wheler in 1908, the 1st Faversham Scout Group is one of the oldest scout groups in the world. Over the decades we have continued our association with the Wheler family and lately the Wheler Foundation, allowing us to use the extensive facilities at Otterden Place for camping and other activities.

Each of our sections meets at Shepherd Park just off the A251 south of Faversham, where we have access to safe and secure fields and woodland for outdoor activities, as well as a large hall.
